Operation Solar Raid comes to Rainbow Six Siege next month, and it's jam-packed full of new additions...
will kick off its"biggest season yet" on December 6th with the Operation Solar Raid update, the game's final Year 7 season. It'll offer a swathe of new features, including cross-play and cross-progression.There looks to be quite a bit to unpack in the Operation Solar Raid update, with quite possibly the biggest additions coming in the form of cross-play and cross-progression via Ubisoft Connect.
As with each season, we'll receive a new Operator next month. Joining Siege in December is Solaris, a defender that gathers intel on enemy drones, breaching devices, and more via her SPEC-IO Electro-Sensor gadget. She comes equipped with the P90 and ITA I2L primary weapons and an SMG-11 secondary. You'll be able to see what Solaris is capable of on the new map, Nighthaven Labs, on launch day.
Operation Solar Raid will be changing quite a bit around progression as well, with ranked playlists now showing your Reputation Standing. The beta version coming next month won't allow for any positive or negative effects while the new system is being tested, though, so you have a chance to adapt your playstyle to the new reputation system.
Other additions come in the form of a branching path Battle Pass, numerous quality-of-life improvements, and accessibility features like expanded team colour customisation options for Operator's devices and tools. The video above details everything we can expect to see when Operation Solar Raid is added on December 6th.
Rainbow Six Siege is available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, and with the cross-play and cross-progression system, you'll have more opportunities to play it how you want, with whoever you want.
