“All I ever wanted was to get married outside in the trees,” says bride Sarah Slutsky Tooley.
Sarah Slutsky Tooley and Ryan Tooley divide their time between Manhattan’s West Village and the Catskills in Upstate New York, so it was only fitting that, following theirattended by just close family members, they should stage a second celebration in the mountains that have become so special to them.
Even before they began the planning process, they saw a wedding weekend as an opportunity to introduce their loved ones to the area that has become such an important backdrop to their relationship. The couple wanted to host the ultimate Catskills experience, with a bonfire “jam session” at their house, a hike at Mount Tremper, eggs and coffee at the local Phoenicia Diner, and the ceremony itself at one of their favourite spots: Foxfire Mountain House.
