The speedy winger made an impact off the bench last weekend as Rangers picked up a first Scottish Premiership win of the season after hitting Livingston for four at Ibrox.

Rabbi Matondo has vowed to keep grafting away and take his opportunities when Michael Beale gives him the nod.

The 22-year-old made the move to the Light Blues last summer from German outfit Schalke but he's failed to nail down a regular first-team spot with injuries hampering his first full campaign in Glasgow. He was left out of the Champions League squad for the 3-2 aggregate win over Servette but Matondo knows the qualities he has in his own locker and say it is about him showcasing them when he gets the call.

"Of course it is down to me as well to be fit to do everything in my power to convince the manager that I should be playing. Obviously the manager has to go with what he feels is the best team at that moment in time so I need to keep grafting hard. "Ultimately it is down to me when I get my opportunities to take them. I have not come here to not try to play and try to show what I am about.
