She was crowned by NI model and former Miss Universe Ireland Katherine Walker
Aishah Akorede, originally from Co Kildare, took the crown to become Miss Universe Ireland at the weekend as she takes over from Northern Irish model and nurse Katherine Walker who won in 2021.
Taking to social media after the competition, Aishah said: "Thank you for giving me the privilege of representing Ireland on the global stage. As well as modelling, Aishah has a passion for women's rights and is the founder of Recrowned Ireland, a social justice initiative dedicated to empowering women and strives to make a lasting impact on key societal concerns.
