Merchant Taylors' said 'the poor behaviour of a minority of pupils has undermined the efforts of the majority in our community'
Younger children said they did not feel safe in parts of a prestigious Merseyside private school due to the behaviour of older pupils.
As such, the report's key findings said: "The school does not meet all of the required standards in the schedule to the Education Regulations 2014 and associated requirements, and should take immediate action to remedy deficiencies as detailed below". Responding to the report, the school cited the behaviour of a 'minority of pupils', which it said would not be tolerated.
