The National Trust has temporarily restricted access to paths to Ballymacormick Point inCo Down after a dead whale washed up on the shoreline.The Trust says it has temporarily restricted access to the area as the whale carcass "poses a health and safety risk".In a post on its Strangford Lough & Ards Peninsula Facebook page, the National Trust has asked the public to follow all signage and avoid the area.

"As this poses a health and safety risk, please follow all signage and avoid the area. As always, dogs should be kept on leads.
