Officers can still take part in the event in a personal capacity

PSNI officers will not participate in this year's Belfast Pride parade in their uniforms and will only do so in a personal capacity.

In a statement on Friday, they said whilst police will still attend and participate in Belfast Pride events this year, its officers and staff will not participate in police uniform in the Pride parade.
