“The horrific violence that was inflicted on this man will most certainly leave physical and mental scars and trauma that may never heal'

Police are hunting for 'three masked men' after a man was allegedly 'shot in both legs' in West Belfast.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Alexander added: “The suspects, who were all wearing dark-coloured clothing, made off from the scene on foot.“The victim, was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries. “However, this shooting is a clear human rights abuse and everyone in the community has the right to live free from the threat of violence.

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the Whitecliff Drive or Ballymurphy Road areas on Thursday evening, 30th March shortly before 9pm and who noticed anything suspicious, or who may have dash-cam or mobile footage that could help with our investigation to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 2012 of 30/03/23.”
