The Princess Royal offered her thoughts on life as a senior female member of the Royal Family nowadays compared to when she officially started out after completing school
The Princess Royal has dedicated her life to royal service and is consistently ranked as one of the hardest working members of the family. And as she turns 73, she is showing no sign of slowing down.
In a landmark interview to mark her 70th birthday in 2020, Princess Anne revealed her thoughts on life within the Firm and offered her view on how it is different nowadays for the likes of the Princess of Wales compared to when she first started out as a working royal. "The pressure that is applied to the younger members of the family, it's always worse. That's what the media is interested in. That's hard sometimes to deal with. But there was no social media in my day, and it's probably made it more difficult."
Elsewhere in the documentary a number of famous faces came together to speak about the Princess' lifelong dedication to her duties. Lord Sebastian Coe remembered one particular moment that he admitted to finding hilarious.
