Meghan Markle and Prince Harry considered moving to New Zealand in 2018 according to governor general
According to The Queen's representative in New Zealand, Governor general Patsy Reddy, a year before splitting from royal duties to move to the US, they had considered elsewhere as their main stay.
“Of course, we said sure. It would be fine. There are lots of opportunities to live in New Zealand, but that would be something that they’d have to explore, Harry and Meghan split from the Royal Family in 2019 and moved to the US, moving into a home in California. Patsy said that she had seen the interview but didn’t have any comment on the Royal Family’s business, saying: “I thought they were a lovely couple and I hope they’ve got a great future where they are”.
