A primary school teacher has appeared in court charged with child sex offences. Zoe Williams is accused of sexually assaulting a girl and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
She appeared before magistrates in Bedlington earlier this month, where the case was sent to Newcastle Crown Court. Ms Williams was remanded in custody until her next hearing on August 2. The letter, which was also signed by Paul Rickeard , Director of Education for the C of E Diocese of Newcastle and Audrey Kingham Executive Director of Children, Young People and Education at Northumberland County Council, said: "It is really important to stress that the offences are not linked to any past or present pupil from this or any other school in which she has worked.
