'I was shocked at how much I actually loved the shoes'
Primark is selling a new pair of trainers which look very similar to ones sold by a designer brand but for around £274 cheaper - so, of course, I had to try them for myself.
On a recent trip to Primark in Liverpool city centre, I managed to find a pair of the popular trainers in my size and snapped them up quickly.The shoes feature a similar design to Axel Arigato’s Marathon Runner Trainers. The bargain retailer's version are similar in colour, shape and feature a silver stripe up the side.
I don’t usually opt for such chunky trainers so I really wasn't willing to spend lots of money on something I wasn't sure would suit me. Luckily, I was able to find out without breaking the bank. I often struggle breaking in new shoes so I wasn’t really looking forward to the experience, but after a day of wearing them I found they’d only rubbed the tiniest bit and had been quite comfortable throughout the day. The quality wasn't what you'd get with an almost £300 pair of trainers, but for £16 I was definitely impressed.
