Mum Stephanie Findlay, partner Jordan Moffat and their four-year-old daughter were left with only the clothes they were wearing after their suitcases went missing.
Stephanie Findlay, 30, flew out to Gran Canaria with partner Jordan Moffat, 29 and daughter Grace, 4, for a relaxing 10-day break in the sun.
Stephanie, from Glasgow, said: "It was a nightmare. If I could have booked a flight home I would have."I'm six months pregnant and my daughter obviously wanted to jump in the swimming pool. We had to drag her round local shops in the heat for flip flops, swimming costumes and toiletries to get us by for a few days. It was extremely upsetting.Stephanie says she tried to contact Ryanair for three days before she received a response.
"I explained the situation and they said to 'buy what was needed and keep the receipts for the money to be returned'.Ryanair has now refused to reimburse the family for any purchases from shops that are not VAT registered or that have not provided a clear description of the item purchased. They have agreed to pay €400 of the €1,200 they spent.Stephanie added: "I'm very upset and feel we have not been treated fairly or properly.
"We were given a number for Swissport, who handle the luggage for Ryanair at the airport. I called that number several times after arriving home and left voicemails and emails, and had no response."We ended up driving down to the airport and spoke to a worker who recognised the unusual description of my suitcase. I basically had to go and locate my suitcase myself or never see it again.
