National Grid says it is working to get the last remaining homes reconnected after a power cut hit nearly 3,000 houses in Telford on Thursday evening.
The power went off in 2,981 homes in the TF4 postcode area at 7.13pm due to a cable fault.
A spokesman for National Grid said of the 2,981 affected homes, power was restored to 1,334 houses in three minutes and nearly all remaining homes by 7.40pm. He added that engineers were working on restoring electricity to the remaining 170 homes which were expected to be reconnected imminently.
