Thick fog has been shrouding beaches but it hasn't put people off visiting.
There have been strange sights on UK beaches today with those enjoying the sunny weather describing "post-apocalyptic" scenes when thick fog rolled in.
However, it didn't stop people from making the most of the warm weather with lots of people still visiting the beaches, WalesOnline reports. She said: "I came down for a walk along the beach and was shocked that I couldn’t actually see the sea. Visibility is really poor and it looks pretty post-apocalyptic. There are still loads of people on the beach though making the most of the warm weather - mental that people are actually swimming in the sea."Explaining the phenomenon, Met Office forecaster Simon Partridge said it is no coincidence that this has happened during a period of warm and humid weather.
