Police issue update after cyclist dies in horror crash with HGV next to Trafford Centre

Police have issued an update after a cyclist was killed in a crash with a HGV near the Trafford Centre on Thursday evening .

The collision caused a 58-year-old man 'to come off his bicycle' before he was later pronounced dead in hospital around an hour later.A 77-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. In a new update, Greater Manchester Police said the suspect has now been released on bail.

Sergeant Phill Collingwood from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said previously: "This was a devastating incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who sadly lost his life.
