Thieves have been attempting to enter cars, houses and sheds

throughout Pollok with residents claiming incidents have increased in recent months.

Those living in the neighbourhood flocked to social media calling for officers to be out on the beat after a shed was targeted and a car had its wing mirrors ripped off around the Lyoncross Road area over the weekend.Neighbours have urged anyone who experiences an attempted theft to ensure it was reported to police in a bid to encourage an increased police presence.

“Taking a few minutes to ensure your property and any outbuildings, vehicles are secure can help deter criminals. In addition to appealing to residents to take basic security precautions, it is important that people are vigilant in their own neighbourhoods and report anyone they think is behaving suspiciously.
