It is thought he may also have been wearing a grey hooded jumper and carrying a large red rucksack with black lace crisscrossed on the front.

A new image of missing Scots man Andrew Linton has been released as specialist search teams try to locate him.

Andrew is described as being white, around 5 ft 6 in height and of stocky build. He speaks with a local Ayrshire accent and was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, a light-coloured beanie hat, black trousers and black boots. Concern is growing for his welfare as specialist search teams continue their search, with local and taxi companies also being asked to keep an eye out for him.

“Officers have been checking CCTV from the local area and in the town centre but so far there have been no further sightings of him.
