A 38-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment following the attack, near Central Station.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they are keen to trace, in connection with a serious assault in Glasgow, near Central Station.
Police said today they believe the man in the images may have information which could help enquiries into the incident.
