Remains found in a property in Milton Keynes last week have been confirmed as Leah's
A body found in a loft has been formally identified by police as teenager Leah Croucher, who went missing more than three years ago. The 19-year-old's remains were found in a property in Milton Keynes that was less than a mile from her home and along the route she walked every day to work.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, the Head of the Major Crime Unit, said: “The thoughts of all of us at Thames Valley Police remain and will always be with Leah’s family and friends. The entirety of our investigation keeps them uppermost in our minds, and they continue to be supported by specially trained officers and updated on every development.
“Our investigations into Leah’s murder will leave no stone unturned, and we owe it to Leah’s family to ensure we find the truth. We are absolutely committed to doing so, to allow them to gain an understanding of what happened to Leah.” Top news stories today At a previous press conference Det Chief Supt Ian Hunter said: "Today, I am able to confirm that we have nominated a suspect in this case. His name is Neil Maxwell. However, Maxwell was found dead on April 20, 2019, having taken his own life.
