POLICE in Northern Ireland are on the hunt to locate a convicted murderer who is currently “unlawfully at large.”
Thomas McCabe, 59, was sentenced to life for murder in 1990 and was on day release from prison when he escaped.Credit: Police handoutMcCabe is described as around 5' 8" tall, of medium build with short grey coloured hair.It is believed he has connections to Dublin, Newry and Newtownabbey. Police have appealed to anyone who has seen Thomas McCabe, or who knows of his whereabouts, to contact them on 101.Anyone with information can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100 per cent anonymous.
Detective Inspector Bell said: “McCabe, who was sentenced to life for murder in 1990, was on day release from prison.
