Cameron Leach is wanted by police in relation to a serious attack in Cow Lane, Burnley

Police are searching for a Burnley man after a serious attack that left another man with severe head injuries that will 'impact his life'. They have told the public not to approach him if they see him.

Cameron Leach is wanted in connection with the assault. Leach, 24, is described as being 5ft 8in, with short, light-coloured hair and has a full ginger beard / stubble and blue eyes. Leach has links to a number of areas in Burnley, including the town centre, Turf Moor / Brunshaw, Gannow, Coal Clough and Lowerhouse / Ightenhill areas.

Lancashire Constabulary was called by North West Ambulance Service to Cow Lane, Burnley, to reports of a serious assault at around 7am on Sunday, October 8. A man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with severe head injuries, where he remains currently.DC Matthew Walne, of East CID said: “This assault has left a man with some very serious injuries, that will impact his life. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Leach, we urge you to get in touch.

"Likewise, if you see Leach, do not approach him, but instead contact us on 999. We are also appealing for witnesses, CCTV or Dashcam footage of this incident.Anyone with immediate sightings should call 999. Those with information, CCTV, dash cam footage or are potential witnesses should call 101 or email [email protected] quoting log 0368 of October 8, 2023.
