Drugs and a baseball bat have already been seized at Creamfields North this year at a police checkpoint
The police have issued a warning to those heading to Creamfields North this weekend, with the likes of Reading and Leeds festivals also taking place. Ahead of performances starting at the UK's biggest dance festival, Creamfields North held in Daresbury, Cheshire Police have a stern warning.
Policing at Creamfields is set to be "visible" and anyone heading to the festival to commit crime has been urged to rethink. Superintendent Sarah Heath, overseeing the policing operation for the event this year, has said: "As with previous years, a great deal of time and effort has gone into planning for this event to ensure that we are as prepared as possible for what is the biggest event that we help to police in Cheshire.
Superintendent Heath says: "The event organisers will have a range of security measures in place, such as searches before being granted entry and drug dogs in attendance. Amnesty bins are also in place at entrance points of the site for prohibited items, and anyone who does not use these bins but is found to be in possession of drugs or weapons will be dealt with.
