Officers are hunting for the man responsible
Officers have issued an update after a woman was dragged into a car and kidnapped in Failsworth. The woman, aged in her 20s, was seen being pulled into the dark vehicle on Valentine Street.
It was reported that the man got out of the front passenger seat of the car and dragged the victim into the car, before driving away. Frantic screams were heard as the incident unfolded at around 11pm on Sunday night . In an update issued this afternoon , Greater Manchester Police said the woman has now been found safe and well, following in-depth enquiries by specialist investigators. Police are continuing to appeal for information following the incident.Any witnesses are being urged to come forward as soon as possible.
"I want to reiterate that we are investigating this as an isolated incident, and we have deployed extra resources in the area to assist with enquiries and to provide reassurance in the local area. Although we have located the woman and she has been found safe and well, we are still appealing for the public’s help to piece together events leading up to the incident and we are really grateful for the information passed to us already but we still need your help.
