Police are investigating an incident of alleged assault involving Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey following his side’s Premier League fixture against Everton at Villa Park on Sunday. A statement from West Midlands Police read: “We’re investigating after a man at Aston Villa Football Club was allegedly assaulted at just after 5pm yesterday . “Officers will be speaking to all those involved and we are liaising with officials at the club to establish the full circumstances.
