The victim was punched in the head by an unknown man in Market Street on the evening of July 29

The incident happened in Market Street at around 7pm on Saturday, July 29. Officers said the victim, a man in his 30s, was punched in the head by an unknown man.

The punch left the man with a broken jaw. Chorley Police last night released two images of a man they want to speak to as part of their investigation and are asking anyone who recognises him to get in contactIn a statement, the force said: "Do you know this man? We want to speak to him after an assault in Chorley left a man with a broken jaw.

"The assault happened at about 7pm on Saturday, July 29 on Market Street in the town when the victim, a man in his 30s, was punched in the head by an unknown man. If you know the man in the CCTV or have any information which could assist, please call us on 101 quoting log 0494 of August 1 or email [email protected]
