Mr Sunak yesterday insisted he did not regret re-hiring her as Home Secretary - nicknamed Leaky Su - and that she had “acknowledged the mistake”.
He said: “As I said in Parliament earlier this week, she raised this topic with me when I discussed reappointing her as Home Secretary and I'm confident that she's learned from her mistake.” Last night the former head of the civil service said said Ms Braverman’s reappointment was a “potential bomb” waiting to go off.Most read in The Sun
