650 new homes are proposed for the west side of WincantonHundreds of new homes have been proposed as part of a major expansion of a small Somerset market town.
The development would see Wincanton expand dramatically, with a new school, commercial space and a care home all part of the plans.If it gets the go ahead, the development would be built on current farmland on the town's western edge, which borders the A303, the A371 and the already planned development for 80 homes west of Crockers Way.
"New jobs will be created during the construction and more jobs will be made from the new employment area.
