Councillors are set to make a decision on the application in due course.
Bosses at Life Church hope to use the three-storey property in the town's High Street, which is currently vacant.
The site would be used as a worship space and cafe according to planning documents submitted to RenfrewshireA description of the proposal reads:"Erection of internal partitions to sub-divide space creating cafe & worship space, new aluminium windows to upper floors, secondary glazing to ground floor and new entrance to Gilmour Street."
