The Belgian has been taken aback by how quickly things have changed at Ibrox.
Philippe Clement reckons he's been impressed with how quickly his Rangers side have taken on his mantra, and it's the fastest rise he's ever seen in his career.
Clement's men are unbeaten since the Belgian arrived to take over from axed Michael Beale with a win in the Europa League against Sparta Prague topping off a week in which the Ibrox head honcho was bursting with pride after booking their place in the Viaplay Cup final by seeing off Hearts. The 49-year-old is taking all the plaudits for implementing a more recognisable style of play, something many of the Rangers persuasion had hoped he would do after successes at Club Brugge and Monaco.
And the so-far shrewd Clement took a moment to reveal in his pre-match thoughts before his side travel to the sticky artificial surface of Livingston that he hasn't seen a squad of players take on his mantra so quickly. He reckons it comes from the depths of a 'low point' before his arrival but that his squad's focus is razor sharp.
He said: "We're not working with robots or machines, we're working with people. You don't know how someone is going to react, what's going on in their private life or in football. There are so many situations we can't control, we like to control everything we can as a football club. "For the moment it's because the players are really focused, really concentrated every meeting. They are making really big steps forward in a fast time. I have to say this is the fastest way that a team has reacted until now when I was working somewhere. Maybe also they come from a low and deep point."
