Emergency services raced to the collision on the westbound stretch of the busy motorway
A person has been rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle crash which caused delays on the M8 this evening.
, at Kingston Bridge, at around 5.25pm.Police Scotland have since arrested a motorist in connection with a road traffic offence.A spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Monday, 7 August, we were made aware of a two car crash on the M8, Kingston Bridge, Glasgow. “One person has been taken to hospital and one person has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.”
Traffic Scotland earlier reported lane restrictions and heavy traffic after the incident. All lanes are now running.A spokesperson wrote: "Kingston Bridge westbound now clear. All lanes running.We have contacted the Scottish Ambulance Service for a comment.
