ScotRail have warned that services travelling between Edinburgh, Glasgow Queen Street and Aberdeen have been suspended on Tuesday morning.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene at Balmossie Station, between Dundee and Arbroath, shortly after 10.30am on Tuesday, September 5.
London North Eastern Railway also reported delays with their services due to the line being blocked, Edinburgh Live reports. While a statement from ScotRail added: “Due to an emergency incident between Dundee and Arbroath, services between Edinburgh/Glasgow Queen Street and Aberdeen are suspended.“There is ticket acceptance with Stagecoach East on service 73/A between Dundee and Arbroath. This is in both directions.
