The tragic incident is being investigated by police.
The 81-year-old male was struck by the vehicle on Tuesday morning in residential Cambridge Road.He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow as medics worked to save his life but, sadly, he was later pronounced dead.Road policing officers in the area are now appealing for information following the fatal crash as they seek to determine the circumstances of what happened.
