Officers were called to the scene shortly after midnight
Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses after a taxi hit a pedestrian in Blackburn in the early hours of this morning .
Lancashire Constabulary has this morning confirmed a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a private hire taxi. They have described the victim's injuries 'serious'. No further updates have been released regarding the condition of the victim. Police would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.
