The Audi then collided with a private hire car, which hit the 44-year-old man walking near the junction with Brunswick Street.The pedestrian was taken to hospital, while the private hire driver - a man in his 50s - suffered neck injuries.Merseyside Police appealed for information and have referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, according to standard procedure as the crash followed police contact.
