'It was a prolonged assault'
A patient who slapped and grabbed a young nurse by the hair as she treated him for a drug overdose has been jailed for five months.A judge told the 30-year-old he behaved appallingly towards a medical worker who may have saved his life.
Defence solicitor David Jones told the court there were no mitigating circumstances for his client’s behaviour.“It’s sickening and it’s appalling.”
