A Whale of a Time was a much-loved part of the community

Parents and children have been left distraught after a soft play centre located in Shawlands closed its doors for the final time.

It was primarily focussed on educational fun for those under the age of 11 and hosted many birthday parties during its time at the rear of Shawlands Arcade. The company stated: "We would like to thank all the customers who have supported us in the last few months, however, with a fall in visitor numbers and issues with the landlord and previous owners it's making it difficult for us to move forward with growing the business which has made us come to the decision to close Whale of a Time Glasgow."
