Police say the incident took place on Sunday evening on Between Towns Road, Oxford.
A kidnapping investigation is under way after a man was grabbed and bundled into the back of a vehicle.
"A man was seen to be assaulted by another man and placed into the back seat of a grey coloured vehicle," a force spokesperson said.
