It's a massive clash at Pittodrie as Barry Robson looks to secure their first points of the group stage.
It's the second round of the Europa Conference League group stage for Aberdeen - and they will be hoping to pick up their first win against HJK inside a packed Pittodrie.
A cauldron of noise is expected to welcome Barry Robson's men as they look to get their first points of the Group G campaign. Despite defeat in the first group stage clash against Eintracht Frankfurt in the opener, there were plenty of positives for the Dons to take into the clash with the Helsinki outfit and the Pittodrie support will be quietly hoping to reach the knockout stage after a battling showing in Germany.
The defeat in Frankfurt appears to have been a turning point in the campaign for the Reds who have followed the narrow loss up with three consecutive wins in the Scottish Premiership and Viaplay Cup - with the latest coming during an impressive 3-1 victory for Rangers. Can they continue their momentum against the Veikkausliiga outfit?
A win will be essential if the Reds are to grab one of the top two spots in their group. But can they do it? The Record Sport team give their views. Scott Burns I fully expect Aberdeen to get off the mark and claim their first European win. Barry Robson’s side are now hitting form and I expect them to have too much for Finland’s top team. Bojan Miovski could have a big part to play.Keith Jackson This is a must win for Aberdeen. HJK at home is, on paper, the best chance of recording three points from the entire section. And with their tails up after the last couple of weeks there’s no reason why they can’t take them all.
