The restaurant has been empty for nine months
Food lovers need to save their appetite and dig out their elasticated trousers because it's almost time for Nottingham's newest all-you-can-eat buffet to open its doors. Panda Mami will open in the former home of COSMO Authentic World Kitchen, which closed suddenly last November.
However, general manager Yong Yan said diners will notice a difference in the food. Twenty percent will be Chinese and 20 percent will be Indian dishes. The rest includes pizzas, traditional roast pizza and pasta, a seafood section and live cooking stations serving teppanyaki. There will be a special section for vegan and vegetarian dishes.Panda Mami first launched in 2016.
Mr Yan said: "This is the biggest restaurant we have - there are 500 seats. At first we are planning on serving 3,500 customers a week and after that we believe we can be successful so we could be serving more than 4,000 customers each week. A brand new kitchen has been installed as some of the equipment wasn't working properly. "We have only had two months to prepare so we didn't have time to change the dining area but we will be changing the tables and chairs after two months.
