Scar hopes the Manchester Evening News can help him find a family after having a tough time in kennels
A bulldog who has spent the whole of 2022 in rescue has received ‘hardly any applications’. Now, Manchester Dogs’ Home are hoping to find him a ‘fun loving family’ where he can enjoy life to the fullest.
When the bouncy bulldog cross first arrived, it became evident to staff that he was displaying signs of lameness in one leg. After further investigations by the vet team, they discovered he was suffering from cruciate ligament damage.A spokesperson for the Dogs Home said: “Despite experiencing pain, Scar continued to display a happy and playful nature, always keen to say hello to everyone he met and always appreciated a fuss.
The rescue centre added: “It’s safe to say Scar has been through a bit of a tough time but he’s tried his best to take it all in his stride. He has been on plenty of bed rest since his surgery and has recently begun short walks which he has loved and has responded well to.” “Scar does like other dogs, and has gotten on well with many of the dogs here,” the team added. “At times, he is a little too much for them when he gets excited therefore it’s best he is the only dog in the household.
