Andre Onana was a surprise omission from the Cameroon squad
According to , the fallout is with regards to Onana’s ball-playing style with Song keen to have a more traditional goalkeeper between sticks.
As a result, the Inter Milan goalkeeper has been dropped for Devis Epassy, a stopper with just five caps to his name.Onana served nine months of that sentence but has always protested his innocence, claiming that he accidentally taken one of his wife’s pills while feeling unwell. Since then he’s put in a number top performances for Italian giants Inter Milan, however this setback is just the latest in what has been a hugely frustrating 2022 for the goalkeeper.
Onana was also involved in a car accident while away on international duty with Cameroon earlier this year, but escaped from the scene unhurt.
