Police are increasing patrols to combat the rise in anti-social behaviour

Groups of youths are causing chaos and misery in Accrington by climbing on roofs and harassing and intimidating shoppers, sparking a police response.

In another incident, youths were captured on CCTV footage climbing onto a local community centre roof and using it as a 'risky playground'. Officers are now asking parents to 'make sure they know what their children are up to over the summer holidays' and are increasing patrols to help combat the rise in ASB.

"Youths have been captured on CCTV footage climbing onto the local community centre roof which is situated within Accrington town centre. Officers are urging youths not to climb onto the roof, which is being used as a risky playground.
