Some of our favourite TV stars were crowned winners at The National Television Awards
The National Television Awards returned in all their glitzy glory this evening with our favourite TV stars donning their finest outfits and heading to London's O2 Arena.
Actors, writers, crew members and more lined up to grace the red carpet before eagerly awaiting the announcements to see if they'd be going home as winners. A longlist was formed earlier this year, which was then whittled down to just four or five nominees per category. Telly fans then had until midday today to cast their final votes and decide which would be crowned Best Serial Drama, and Best Daytime Show, among a host of other awards.Ant and Dec held on to their Best Presenter award, after scooping the gong for a huge 21 years previously.
Elsewhere, ITV's This Morning was aiming to retain its title as the best daytime show - an award it won for the previous four years - but it wasn't to be, meaning the show hasn't taken home any prize for the first time in 13 years. The Repair Shop instead took home the gong after being voted the winners by millions of viewers.
