Premier Gladys Berejiklian warns case numbers are not predicted to peak for another two weeks and hospitalisations will be at their worst in mid-October
New South Wales has reported 1,431 new Covid cases while 12 people have died from the virus, as premierA 30-year-old unvaccinated woman was one of the 12 deaths. She died in her home on Wednesday, one day after testing positive for the virus. While investigations are under way to determine if she had underlying conditions, it is understood authorities were trying to understand how long the woman had been symptomatic before getting tested and seeking care.
