Welcome back!
A unique Nottingham pub is set to reopen after almost a year of standing empty. The Roundhouse has been taken over by business partners Oscar Bagram and Michael Capaldi. It is their first venture together, although both have experience in the hospitality trade.
"People can pop in for a takeaway, if you're walking past, going to the castle, or going to work in an office. The nearest Starbucks or Costa is a good walk down the hill." The privately-owned Grade-II listed building was part of the former General Hospital for more than a century. It opened in 1900 as the hospital's Jubilee Wing, caring for patients undergoing surgery. During the First World War, wounded soldiers returning from the Western Front went there to recover.
