Elite Ice Hockey League coaches have held talks with players about whether to return to action
Nottingham Panthers and Sheffield Steelers will not return to action this week following the tragic death of Adam Johnson. The Elite Ice Hockey League has confirmed that the other eight teams will resume play on Saturday, November 4.
The club confirmed he had died in a statement on Sunday, October 29. The league has now confirmed both the Panthers and Steelers will not take to the ice this coming weekend .It said team coaches of the other eight teams had spoken to their players about what should happen next and that they 'expressed their wish to return to playing Elite League fixtures this week.
"The Elite League can confirm that games scheduled for both Tuesday and Wednesday will be postponed. Earlier today, the coaches of eight teams consulted with their players about what should happen next.
