An inquest has been opened into his death
A Nottingham man who died after falling from a Cornwall hotel has been named by police as 56-year-old Adrian Moon. An inquest into the death has now been opened following the incident, which took place on the Porthminster Beach in St Ives.
Officers were first called at around 7.05pm on August 10, with the property from which Mr Moon fell understood to be the Pedn Olva Hotel. Mr Moon was treated at the scene but despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead, Cornwall Live reports. A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said the death was not being treated as suspicious. The Pedn Olva Hotel is owned by the St Austell Brewery.
A spokesperson for the brewery previously said: "Our thoughts are with the family at this extremely sad time. We’re continuing to work closely with the local authorities and assisting where we can."
