A fee has been agreed with Sevilla for their right-back Montiel, who has been at the club since 2021.He has made 72 appearances for the La Liga side and scored twice, although is most known for his efforts with Argentina. Montiel was tasked with taking the crucial penalty to win them the World Cup in the final shootout against France in Qatar.
The 26-year-old made no mistake from the spot to cement he and his teammates' status as legends of Argentinian football. His penalty unsurprisingly sparked jubilant scenes from Lionel Messi and co. as they got their hands on the biggest prize of all.
