A number of stops cannot be served due to bad parking
A Nottingham City Transport bus service has been disrupted due to badly parked vehicles. on the Edwards Lane Estate, Nottingham.
The Nottingham City Transport Blue 40 bus, which serves the Edwards Lane Estate through to Nottingham city centre, is unable to serve five stops on the estate today . The bus stops affected include Longmead Drive, Northwood Crescent, Rosecroft Drive, Alderton Road, and Archdale Road. A Nottingham City Transport spokesperson said: “Blue 40 cannot serve the Edwards Lane Estate due to badly parked vehicles in the area.“The following stops cannot be served; Longmead Drive, Northwood Crescent, Rosecroft Drive, Alderton Road & Archdale Road.”
It comes after the NCT Purple Line buses were affected nearby on August 25 due to cars blocking the road. Cars were blocking the road at Fiveways Roundabout near Edwards Lane and buses were diverted towards the city centre via Valley Road and Mansfield Road. Neighbours in the area highlighted that parking is ‘terrible’ in the area. On August 25, Nottingham City Transport tweeted: “Due to cars blocking the road at Five Ways Island, Purple Line buses are diverting towards the city via Valley Road and Mansfield Road.”
